These are the 5 things I pray for every morning. If I have these, I know I can go make everything else happen!
Vera Jimenez, a certified meteorologist with over 20 years of experience in Los Angeles, California, where she’s earned a reputation for providing reliable and accurate weather forecasts. Working on television, owning a restaurant, and becoming a real estate investor were dreams that seemed impossible to her, but she learned that anything is possible if she was willing to do the work.
Outside of her work in the media, she and her husband have increased our real estate portfolio in Southern California and Pennsylvania. Both were also active partners in the Hermosa Beach Fish Shop, a fresh seafood restaurant from 2014 to 2019, before they sold it.

In addition to her primary vocation, she’s a healthy living advocate. Through her experience in TV and a variety of ventures, she understands the importance of maintaining healthy habits to perform her best with concentration and clarity no matter what hat she’s wearing.

Her family and community are at the core of what she does. They define who she is, when she’s not doing what she does. Giving back through Rotary International, The Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles Harbor and The Salvation Army keep her grounded and focused on what really matters.
Her formal education started at Santa Ana Community College where she found her passion for writing and storytelling. Later, she graduated from California State University Long Beach, Cum Laude in Religious Studies. That’s what truly grounded her faith. After going back to college, she received her Meteorology Certification from Mississippi State University in 2010.
She’s been recognized in her field with multiple accolades, including several Emy’s and Golden Mic’s. SACC also honored her as an inductee into The Alumni Hall of Fame. Farmers and Merchants Bank awarded gave her an award as “California’s Strongest People You Can Count On” in 2019 and was lauded in broadcast journalism by the National Hispanic Media Coalition in 2018.
Her success is credited to the strong work ethic she gleaned from her mother’s example. Looking toward the future, she hopes to continue working in the media, sharing and exchanging knowledge, traveling with her husband, and working more in international and charitable projects. And since she learned how to swim just before her 50th birthday, she’s making plans for more time in the Pacific Ocean.
